Design philosophy — the Satoshi method
Fully disclosed founder reward
The block 1 reward of 1,000,000 BIG is held by the founder. It is visible on-chain to anyone and was disclosed from day one. The founder will never sell it to raise funds.
No premine sales
The issuer does not sell coins to raise money.
No promise of value
BigCoin is not an investment product. If it ever gains value, that value can only come from actual use.
Open source
Source code and binaries are public under the MIT license. Anyone can verify and participate.
Free participation, at your own risk
If you want BigCoin, mine it yourself. No permission needed.

Getting started (Windows)
- Download BigCoin-win64.zip from GitHub Releases and extract it
- Create a data folder and copy the bundled bitcoin.conf into it (the seed node is preconfigured — your node connects to the network automatically)
- Start the node, create a wallet, and mine:
bitcoind.exe -datadir=C:\BigCoin\data bigcoin-cli -datadir=C:\BigCoin\data createwallet "mywallet" bigcoin-cli -datadir=C:\BigCoin\data getnewaddress bigcoin-cli -datadir=C:\BigCoin\data generatetoaddress 1 your_big1_address 500000000
Mining rewards belong to whoever mines them. Difficulty adjusts automatically as more miners join.
FAQ
Q. Does BIG have monetary value?
A. No. And no future value is promised.
Q. Can I buy coins from the developer?
A. No. The developer does not sell, exchange, or custody coins in any form. The only way to obtain BIG is to mine it yourself.
Q. Is it connected to Bitcoin?
A. No. The genesis block, network, ports, and address formats are all different — it is a completely separate chain. BTC can never be accidentally sent to BigCoin.
